On January 9, 2024, the Eco Scope Foundation participated in a symposium on the improvement of Tanzania’s foreign policy of 2001.

Since we want our policy to be stronger and a robust tool to connect the nation with opportunities available in foreign countries. It should be used to stimulate creativity and accountability among our ambassadors so that our relationships with other nations can be more beneficial in promoting employment and reducing poverty here in our country.

This policy should invigorate economic diplomacy and enable many Tanzanians to benefit from safe opportunities abroad. This will increase foreign currency inflows, investment, and help the nation to create more job opportunities, especially for the youth.

The policy should be inclusive by providing opportunities for dual citizenship and temporary citizenship for foreign nationals of Tanzanian origin. This diaspora community can continue to contribute closely to our national economy through their skills, professions, talents, and investments.

The symposium took place at the JNICC hall under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
